First Fingerpainting!

What can one say about watching a genius at work?

There's a certain confidence in their choices.

Yet at the same time, delicacy.

Their work may seem strange.

It is simply too far advanced for those of us of normal ability.

We may not be able to understand it at first.

Or ever.

But we don't have to, so long as we keep the paint and paper coming.

Somebody get the Kimbell on the phone for us. Or maybe the Guggenheim. He's already giving Rauschenberg a run for his money.

First Blood

Why are you crying? Mom is the one bleeding. She needed a bandaid and everything. She's such a trooper.

Austin's Time Machine

We apologize for the long lapse in Austin photos and videos. Mom was without the internet for a very long time. We had a lot of adventures though, and we're just going to add those in the next few days, dated with their real dates. To catch up, just go to the main blog site here: http://aiitx.blogspot.com/

and then scroll down to see older posts. This is also a good way to browse through the archives. In the meantime, here are a few pics to tide you over...

First Fourth

First pickle! We gnawed on it happily for a while, and then, suddenly, we threw it and started crying.

Maybe it was an English pickle? He's so patriotic!

We also took a bite out of our delicious Dad. It's ok, he's Irish.

Moving Day Is Tomorrow

What kinds of things should I tell you about this house?

It's the place we first brought you after the hospital.

We used to walk together to the store over the freeway.

It's where we had our first Christmas tree.

It's where we used to press our face against the screen door to watch chickens...

Who occasionally danced on the washing machine for us.

It's where we had our first food.

It's where we had our first homegrown apricots...

And blackberries.

What Would Austin Watch?

Dad puts on the occasional Sponge Bob for us, but mostly, we just ignore the tv. Mostly. There are a few special things that make us happy. The first one is this Sherwin Williams ad.

We're collecting Austin's clips here in a playlist, for those days when everything is terrible, horrible, no good and very bad. You'll note that it's less than 3 minutes long. So, please help us make it longer. If you have an idea of something Austin might enjoy, please let us know in a comment or otherwise... before Mom and Dad lose their marbles.
