First Haircut!

Many, many thanks to our awesome stylist, Marlyss! You did an amazing job. No more mullets for us! And our babyman was very brave and didn't flip out even a little bit!

It's Haturday!

Not everyone loves Haturday as much as Mom.

And The Winner Is...

Great-Grandmother!

And the contest was... who will Austin accidentally call on the phone first? I confess, we've let him play with the phone in the past, because he likes to hit the number keys. Usually he winds up calling some number with 27 or so digits and getting a recorded message that Dad and I can recite from memory. Today, however, he actually just hit the redial button and talk. And we didn't notice until we heard a tiny voice from the phone, saying, "Hello?" over and over again, as he scooted it around on the floor and moaned excitedly.


We are so accomplished. We also took our first bus trip! Mom was too encumbered to get any pictures on the bus, what with the stroller, baby bag and baby, but she did get a picture of us waiting at the bus stop and watching traffic (of course).

And we also had our first sips of hot chocolate on a cold winter night. Complete with whipped cream mustache, just in time for Movember.

Haturday!

We are pleased to announce a new tradition in honor of the cold weather: Haturday! And we are celebrating with these vintage photos of our babyman. Unfortunately, the boy is not really a fan of hats, so we have very few pictures of him wearing hats at the moment. In fact, this picture to the right, is actually a picture of Mr. Austin with pants on his head. It's the thought that counts, right?

First Trip to the Aquarium!

I think we mostly had fun. It was a little dark, and fish are kind of unfriendly looking.



And we did not appreciate the penguins, even though they were very interested in us.



And maybe we dreamed fishy dreams on the drive back, with our new otter friend.

The Catsitter

She tries so hard.
But we probably don't need any more feline help on the sleep training front.

Walking!

We did it! But we are shy about our new skills and Mom and Dad have not gotten any of it on film yet. We did manage to get a lot of crawling videos, to watch fondly now that we have a biped. Ah, the good old days...
